Deosai Plains

The Deosai features rolling pastureland of rounded hills, knee deep in summer grass and flowers, inhabited by whistling marmots and boasting views of Gaint Mountains in the distance. It offers gentler walking then the karakoram, with its jagged towers of granite and narrow valleys. Build as the highest plateau in the world, the Deosai stretches south for about 65 Kilometres, blocking the way from Skardu via the Burzil Pass to Sri Nagar. A treeless wilderness at 4,000 meters un-inhabited and inhospitable in winter, snow covered for eight months of the year and well-known for its ferocious wind storm the plateau is nonetheless enchanted on clear August days.

7 Days Tour to Deosai Plains

Departure for Rawalpindi at 8 a.m. Arrival at Rawalpindi, after lunch departure for Jaglot.

Arrival at Jaglot at 7 a.m. Breakfast at Jaglot, departure for Astore, sightseeing en-route, arrival at Astore, short stay and departure for Rama. Overnight stay at Rama.

Full day excursion to Rama Lake. Overnight stay at Rama.

Departure for Tershing at 8 a.m. by jeep, short stay and sightseeing en-route, Arrival at Tershing, rest of the day free for individual activities, Overnight stay at Tershing.
